HOW AND WHY 

Sergio Alarcón and Rody Correa Avila, after 4 decades in the Industry, joined forces and created Language Global Solutions to bring the wealth of information only available in English to the Spanish-speaking Communities around the world that they both belong to.

The objective is to support your growth and wealth by reaching out to the Hispanic-Latino market. And while doing so, give Spanish-speakers more opportunities for development and growth.

SHORT STORY
When Rody 20 years old, he left his country and culture pursuing an ideal to serve others in the non-profit sector. Soon enough found himself not understanding English well enough, which was critical for his training as a regional leader in the Organization. Learning English well enough was an uphill process, but learning it well ended up being a great asset in his life. In 1980/81, he started translating and since then added Interpreting, Subtitling and Voice-Over. He speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Sergio started his journey first as a Chemical Microbiologist. He studied in Mexico, California and Texas and then took a Certification as a Conference Interpreter, which soon became his long-life career. Presently holding a B.A. in Interpretation. With more than 40 years traveling around all of Mexico and Central, North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia participating in international events, Conferences, Seminars, accompanying Presidents, Prime Ministers, to name a few, as well as training other Interpreters, he created the syllabus of the Berlitz School of Interpreters and Translators and a special training program on voice and ear care for interpreters. He is the backbone and Director of LGS’s team of Interpreters and a proficient translator. Speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese. Sergio was the founding President of the Mexican Association of Conference Interpreters (Colegio Mexicano de Intérpretes de Conferencias), former member of AIIC and TAALS. He has received several awards by national and international Associations such as FIT and CMIC.
